This Vacuum Truck Operator position delivers diverse services, including hydro excavating, confined space entry, spill cleanup, and water hauling. You will also perform line flushing, power washing, and fluid or material hauling. The role requires teamwork, effective communication, and careful time management.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate vacuum equipment safely on industrial worksites
Perform hydro excavating and related vacuum truck services
Complete daily pre-trips and compliant driver logs
Document work performed accurately and thoroughly
Participate in safety meetings and hazard assessments
Requirements:
Two years’ industrial vacuum truck or hydro excavating experience
Combo unit experience preferred
Valid Manitoba Class 1 or Class 3 licence with air brakes
Ability to perform minor unit maintenance
Good physical condition and willingness to travel overnight
Use hydro excavation knowledge, vacuum equipment skills, and disciplined documentation practices to serve GFL clients safely and professionally.
