As a Warehouse Associate, you will be trained in a variety of warehouse tasks including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, wire cutting, light assembly, and housekeeping. You will comply with operational, audit, and safety policies.
Responsibilities:
- Complete local safety orientation and training courses and ensure safety and security policies are followed.
- Shadow more experienced Warehouse Operations associates on the verification of supplier inbound, customer returns, branch returns, and enter order receipts into computer and RF systems.
- With guidance, place received material, after segregating backorders, into proper warehouse storage locations.
- Receive training and practice how to fill out log sheets for inbound overages, shortages, damages or non‑compliant material.
- Practice using manual or RF processes to pick, pack, weigh, and ship product.
- Assist in packing, labeling, wrapping, and loading inbound/outbound trucks.
- Use system-generated or manually prepared local delivery records and complete applicable blocks on pick ticket.
- Verify return policy guidelines are followed before issuing credit for returned material.
- Pull stock and return it to location pending credit memo, sale, or return to supplier.
- Receive training and practice on cutting and spooling wire.
- Maintain counter stock and assist with some customer service activities.
- Progressively receive additional training to operate a forklift and pallet jacks.
Qualifications:
- Ability to follow direction.
- Ambition to learn.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Working Environment: Warehouse – work is generally performed in a warehouse environment. The noise level is moderately quiet, generally well-ventilated and well-lighted. Warehouse employees may be exposed to all kinds of weather and may be required to wear protective clothing. Operates heavy equipment. Strict safety regulations may be required.
Physical Expectations:
- Work is physically strenuous; workers are required to lift heavy packages up to 50 pounds.
- Work may require excessive bending or stooping.
- Employee required to walk long distances repeatedly throughout the day.
- Employee required to use hand tools.
Compensation Details: $16.67 – $20.00 Per Hour. Offer amounts may vary based on geographic location, education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or bargaining agreements. Eligible positions may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the plan documents. Certain sales roles may offer a commission structure.
