The Warehouse Associate plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of the warehouse within the retail trade industry. This position is responsible for managing inventory, processing incoming and outgoing shipments, and maintaining accurate records to support supply chain activities. The role requires collaboration with team members to optimise storage solutions and ensure timely order fulfillment. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential to maintain a secure and organised warehouse environment.

• Picking customers and interbranch orders and double-checking for accuracy prior to shipment.
• Unload inbound trucks and trailers (in compliance with safe material handling procedures) and stage the goods in the receiving lane as directed.
• Process inbound shipments, including sorting, quality checking, and count verification.
• Perform put-away of product on all levels of racking using appropriate powered material handling equipment where required.
• Other duties, such as organizing shelves, cleaning the warehouse, and other tasks as assigned by the manager.
• Use of PPE

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience working in a warehouse or distribution centre environment.
• Basic knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely, typically up to 50 lbs.
• Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain one.

• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software.
• Familiarity with retail trade supply chain processes.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or overtime as needed.
