The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production inventory warehouse, ensuring inventory accuracy, proper storage, material availability, and efficient support to production operations. This role supervises warehouse personnel, maintains inventory records, and drives continuous improvements in inventory management processes.

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:

  • Supervise daily inventory control operations and warehouse inventory activities.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation processes.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Develop and maintain inventory control policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Coordinate with purchasing, production, shipping, and receiving departments to ensure inventory availability.
  • Analyze inventory reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate warehouse & Stores staff.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize inventory processes and reduce costs.
  • Prepare reports for management on inventory performance, stock variances, and operational metrics.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3–5+ years of inventory control or warehouse experience.
  • 1–3 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and warehouse operations.
  • Experience with ERP and WMS software (such as IFS, Epicor, or Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory reporting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
