Step into the FNFAO Legal Services team as a Legal Assistant, where your organizational skills and client-focused approach will shine. This position is key for streamlining legal processes and ensuring client satisfaction.

Reporting to the Director of Children and Families, this Legal Assistant role requires expertise in legal administrative tasks such as filing, document preparation, and client communication. Applicants should have relevant certification and at least two years of legal support experience, particularly within a social services context. Your primary objective will be to maintain detailed client records and assist lawyers during legal proceedings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor calendars, appointments, and deadlines

• Handle client communications and appointment coordination

• Take detailed notes and gather necessary documentation

• Assist in drafting and filing legal documents

• Facilitate research on legal regulations and case studies

Requirements:

• Paralegal certification or diploma in related fields

• Minimum two years’ experience in legal administration

• Knowledge of legal processes in Manitoba

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Must have a Class 5 driver's license and current background checks
