Role:
Interim GL Senior Accountant (Nonprofit)

Pay Rate: $30–$35/hr. (based on experience)

Location: Winona, MN

Work Setting: Hybrid (2–3 days onsite)

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle full-cycle month-end close procedures
• Prepare and post journal entries and ensure accuracy of financial transactions
• Perform account reconciliations (bank, balance sheet, and other key accounts)
• Maintain accuracy and integrity of the general ledger
• Support grant tracking, fund accounting, and other nonprofit-specific functions
• Collaborate with finance team and leadership to ensure compliance with internal controls and reporting standards
• Assist in audit prep and respond to inquiries as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelors in accounting or finance required
• Minimum 2 years of nonprofit accounting experience is required
• Must have strong understanding of debits and credits
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
