Field Supervisor; Non-Exempt

Overview

Find your calling at Mercy! Perform direct patient care including assessment, evaluation, basic and advanced life support according to Mercy Health System goals. Field supervisors perform clerical, maintenance duties and precept EMT and Paramedic students, make operational decisions, and instruct in‑service training.

Provide direct patient care, conduct EMT and Paramedic services in pre‑hospital settings, execute in‑service training, integrate Mercy’s philosophy of caring, respect human life, and apply Christian values to all crucial human issues.

• None. (Education)
• Paramedic license (EMT‑P). Valid driver’s license.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Hazmat awareness level training, ACLS at hire, PALS within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Must be able to respond quickly, access patients in difficult terrain, climb stairs, work in dangerous environments, lift and move equipment and patients.
• Correctable vision, color acuity adequate, ability to read medication dosages, hear and understand information, air traffic control capability, verbal communication with patients and emergency services.
• Pre‑hire and annual fitness for duty test.

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• TLS Provider license.
• Emergency services or related leadership experience, 3 years Paramedic experience, teaching experience.
• NIMS 300 and 400 certification.

Mobile and portable communications equipment, monitor/defibrillator/pacer, approved stretcher, stair chair, backboard, scoop type device, variety of bags and kits, assigned ambulance, computer, fax, printer and other office‑related equipment.
