Role: Patient Care Assistant in Surgical Services, supporting patient care under the supervision of registered nurses at designated hospital campuses.
Responsibilities- Assist with delegated tasks for direct and indirect patient care, perform activities within legal scope for unlicensed personnel, and support nursing practices.
- Must be 18+, proficient in English, with completion of 12 college credits or a high school diploma/GED plus nursing assistant training.
- Ability to adapt to unpredictable care situations is essential.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or Red Cross required, or provided during orientation; must maintain current certification.
- This is a full-time, nonexempt role with variable schedules, including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Compensation ranges from $21.96 to $29.02/hour based on union contract.
- Benefits are provided, and the position does not involve international assignments.
- Strong communication, flexibility, and adherence to safety protocols are essential for success in this role.
