Description- Starting wage of $16
- 0.5 FTE – 40 Hours a Pay Period
- Shift: 6 am to 2:30 pm

- Works with the culinary team to provide high-quality foods for patients, residents, caregivers and customers.
- Prepare special items for patients/customers with dietary restrictions (i.e. gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, etc.)
- Follows recipes and/or product directions for preparing food items for consumption.
- Operates a variety of kitchen equipment to prepare foods including ovens, fryers, steamers and grills.
- Performs tasks using proper knife skills to cut, dice and slice whole food items.
- Handles and prepares raw food items for service (chopping vegetables, cutting raw or cooked meats, preparing sauces, baking)
- Utilize leftover food appropriately to minimize waste.
- Cleans, sanitizes, and maintain work areas including coolers and freezers.
- Follows and understands production records.
- Follows, understands and is able to scale recipes
- Maintains required regulatory and HACCP documentation
- Understands and abides by industry standards for food safety practices
- Assists with catering events as needed.
- Assists with menu development for a wide range of customers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School/GED Equivalent required
- Serv Safe or other nationally accredited food safety Certification preferred
- 1-2 years of quantity cooking in a healthcare setting preferred
