Parts and Service Manager

Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for engines and equipment? Burggraf’s Ace Hardware is looking for a Parts and Service Manager to join our team. Whether you’re repairing lawnmowers, generators, or chain saws, your work helps power our customers through every season.

This role offers full-time hours with the option to support on the sales floor as needed—perfect for someone who enjoys variety and teamwork.

• Diagnose, adjust, repair, and overhaul small gasoline and electric engines
• Perform routine maintenance: oiling parts, tuning systems, cleaning equipment
• Test and inspect equipment using diagnostic tools to ensure quality repair
• Repair or replace parts like carburetors, magnetos, pistons, valves, and more
• Communicate repair needs and cost estimates to customers
• Record repairs made, time spent, and parts used
• Order necessary parts and maintain accurate service records
• Demonstrate equipment maintenance to customers
• Sell parts and offer service recommendations
• Follow procedures for certified warranty repairs and approvals

What We’re Looking For:

• Prior experience in mechanical troubleshooting and repair
• Knowledge of tools, engines, and service practices
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to doing the job right
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand and walk throughout the day
• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of a Small Engine Certificate or related training is a plus

• $20.00 - $26.00 per hour based on experience

  40–50 per week (seasonal variation applies)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional weekends as needed
