Job SummaryThe Community Based Outreach Team Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) is responsible for responding to calls dispatched by the CBI Access to Care Line and for transports from CBI facilities. The BHT conducts in‑field assessments of each referral to determine the appropriateness of care in consultation with the CBI Triage RN when there is a question of need due to the severity of the level of risk in ASAM Dimensions 1, 2 and 3.
The BHT ensures that all documentation—Crisis Intervention Notes, Trip Tickets, and Mobile Crisis Intervention Field Forms—is completed for each patient prior to the end of the scheduled shift.
- High‑school diploma or GED required; associate degree or higher preferred.
- Minimum 6 months of health‑care related experience providing exposure to both behavioral and medical crisis situations.
- Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) certification in accordance with A.A.C. R9‑10‑101 and Clinical Policies and Procedures.
- Emergency Medical Technician certification valid in the state of Arizona.
- Current Arizona driver’s license in good standing.
- Clear 39‑month Motor Vehicle Record.
