Little Colorado Medical Center is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse to provide patient care and support during surgical procedures.
Description
The staff Operating Room RN, under the supervision of the OR Nurse Supervisor and Director of Nursing, is responsible for the safety of the patient while in the OR and by assessment of the individual patient and procedure, she/he anticipates the needs of the surgical team and provides such services while maintaining an aseptic and safe environment. Assists in completing discharge planning, assists and/or performs procedures that are within the scope of nursing practice.
He/she seeks assistance and support, when necessary, assists in data collection, organizes those aspects of patient care for which she/he is responsible, and maintains accountability for own practice and those functions he/she delegates. Within a specific work period, plans, implements, and evaluates care that is consistent with overall admission to post-discharge plan. He/she practices within accepted ethical and legal parameters of nursing.
Education
- Graduate from accredited School of Nursing
Experience
- 6 months clinical experience and recent clinical experience
- Experience in OR Circulating preferred
Skills
- Nursing
- Moderate computer skills and EMR required
Licenses & Certifications
- Current or Compact RN license
- BLS required upon hire; NRP, ACLS, PALS preferred
