Senior Accounts Payable Specialist

Vaco is partnering with a growing organization that is expanding its U.S. footprint and building out key areas of its accounting team. They are seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to take ownership of the AP function and support a global shared services structure.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for Accounts Payable activity in the U.S.
• Partner daily with a global shared services AP team to ensure accurate and timely invoice processing.
• Act as a liaison between internal departments to resolve PO, receiving, and invoice discrepancies.
• Manage vendor relationships, including obtaining statements and performing monthly reconciliations.
• Oversee AP month-end processes, including payment proposal runs and approval workflows.
• Assist with the transition from third-party payment processing into SAP.
• Monitor AP KPIs and ensure timely turnaround of requests and documentation.
• Set up vendor master data and manage AP setups within SAP.
• Handle occasional invoice entry when needed.

• SAP experience is required
• 3–5+ years of Accounts Payable experience
• Ability to work independently with minimal hand holding
• Strong communication skills and comfort interacting across departments and with global teams
• Experience handling vendor reconciliations, statement reviews, and process ownership
• High level of initiative, organizational skills, and follow-through
