Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager will oversee core accounting functions for a telecommunications client that has been engaged by Bell & Associates, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with GAAP. This role leads day-to-day accounting operations, manages the close process, and supervises a team of accounting professionals while partnering cross-functionally to support business objectives.

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements for accuracy and completeness
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies
• Coordinate external audits and prepare supporting schedules
• Analyze financial results and explain variances to leadership
• Partner with FP&A, billing, revenue, and operations teams on accounting matters
• Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and efficiencies
• Support special projects and ad hoc reporting as needed

• Active CPA license greatly preferred
• 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s preferred)
• Prior public accounting experience strongly preferred
• Previous supervisory or people management experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience in telecommunications or similarly complex, high-volume industries preferred
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
