A growing property management company based in Winston-Salem needs a Property Accountant to own the books across its portfolio. Right now that's three market-rate communities, with two more coming on board over the next 6-12 months - so there's real room to grow with this one.

• Own full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of market-rate residential communities
• Prepare monthly financial statements, variance reports, and owner reporting packages
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable across multiple properties
• Reconcile bank accounts and manage cash flow property by property
• Support budget prep and track budget-to-actual throughout the year
• Partner with on-site property managers on rent collections, delinquency, and resident ledger questions
• Help bring new properties onto the books as the portfolio grows
• Keep general ledgers and supporting documentation audit-ready
• Pitch in on financial analysis and reporting as the company scales

The books don't run themselves, especially across a growing portfolio. You're the one making sure the numbers are right, the properties stay funded, and ownership always knows exactly where things stand.

• 3+ years of property accounting experience, ideally with a residential or multifamily portfolio
• Comfortable managing the books for more than one property at a time
• Strong Excel skills, plus familiarity with property management accounting software (Yardi, App Folio, or similar)
• Solid grounding in standard property-level accounting practices
• Detail-oriented, with strong reconciliation and reporting skills
• Able to manage competing deadlines across properties without missing a beat
• Comfortable communicating with on-site teams and ownership directly
• Based in or near Winston-Salem, NC
