Landmark Builders seeks a full‑time, highly experienced Senior Estimator for its Winston‑Salem, NC office.

Landmark Builders offers general construction, design/build, construction management, and upfit/renovation services throughout the Carolinas, Georgia, and Virginia. Our primary markets include industrial, distribution, office, retail, education, healthcare, hospitality, and senior living construction.

As an integral part of the preconstruction team, this Senior Estimator will provide estimating services across all market segments and delivery methods, including design‑build, construction manager, design‑bid‑build, negotiated, guaranteed maximum price, and lump‑sum commercial construction projects.

• Organize and lead bid teams for larger projects, providing direction and guidance to junior estimators.
• Thoroughly study plans and specifications and visit sites as necessary to confirm project requirements.
• Coordinate with Project Development Managers, clients, and design teams as needed to deliver accurate estimates through the various preconstruction stages.
• Establish and maintain relationships with the local subcontractor community and keep an active database of subcontractors.
• Prequalify new subcontractors to provide good sub coverage and quality estimates for regional projects.
• Schedule and manage multiple estimates, coordinating with the Project Development team to confirm clear delivery schedules.
• Provide detailed and accurate estimates with accompanying supporting documents, including takeoffs and vendor quotes.

• In-depth understanding of construction types, methods, materials, and building systems.
• Knowledge of material costs, trade pricing, building types, supervisory costs, general conditions, overhead, and profit.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with preconstruction teams, customers, designers, and vendors.
• Knowledge of basic construction scheduling and critical‑path schedule drivers.
• Working knowledge of CSI divisions and how construction projects are priced and bought out.
• Proficiency with Excel and willingness to learn new estimating software.

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related curriculum or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of experience as a commercial construction estimator.
• Proven track record with a previous project list that includes client/designer information.
