Hospice​/Palliative Medicine Physician

Location: Winston-Salem, North Carolina is a culturally rich, mid-sized city in the Piedmont Triad region of north-central North Carolina. Known for its blend of Southern charm, historical significance, and modern innovation, it has earned nicknames like the City of Arts and Innovation. 80 miles northeast of Charlotte and 100 miles west of Raleigh!

Facility: A prominent not-for-profit regional hospital that has grown into one of the largest and most distinguished hospitals in the state, offering a comprehensive range of medical services to residents of the Triad region and beyond.

Opportunity:

• Open to NP or PA support. APP must have inpatient palliative experience.
• APP functions very independently and establishes their own plan of care.
• Start ASAP and ONGOING need
• Carries their own caseload of 6-8 follow-up patients and 2 new consults per day.
• Shifts are from 7:30a-5:30p.
• Function in both the attending and consulting role throughout the hospital.
• Supported by physicians, other APPs, counselor and navigator.
• Census for the program fluctuates but generally runs between 40-50 patients split between 5-6 providers.
• EMR is EPIC
• Licensed in NC or IMLC
• NO CALL!

Compensation: Competitive weekly pay and malpractice included.
