Overview

The Wake Forest University School of Business is seeking qualified adjunct candidates (part‑time) to teach courses in the Master of Science in Accountancy (MSA) program. The courses are two 1.5‑credit offerings:

  • Data Visualization for Accountants (ACC 704):
    Helps students develop descriptive modeling and data visualization skills to communicate complex analyses. (1.5 credits)
  • Digital Transformation in Accounting (ACC 703):
    Explores robotic processing automation, process mining, blockchain analytics, and other disruptive technologies, with hands‑on work, guest lecturers, and opportunities to explore student interests, including generative AI. (1.5 credits)

Responsibilities

  • Teach ACC 704 and/or ACC 703 courses (two days per week, in person; limited online synchronous sessions possible).
  • Prepare and deliver course materials, assignments, labs, and assessments.
  • Engage graduate students, provide instruction, mentorship, and feedback.
  • Maintain effective teaching practices and adhere to university policies.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (or higher) required.
  • Evidence of prior graduate‑level teaching effectiveness.
  • Relevant professional experience in accounting or related fields preferred.
  • Ability to provide evidence of teaching effectiveness (e.g., course evaluations, benchmarks).
  • Strong communication and instructional skills.
