Teacher-Scholar Postdoctoral Fellow, Department of Statistical Sciences (Two Positions)
Wake Forest University invites applications for two Teacher‑Scholar Postdoctoral Fellows in Statistics. The positions will begin July 1, 2026 and are one‑year appointments renewable up to three years, contingent upon satisfactory performance.
Fellows will collaborate with one or more permanent faculty in the department on research and will teach two courses each semester. The role requires a commitment to excellence in both research and teaching.
Position Qualifications- An earned Ph.D. is required; ABD candidates are invited to apply.
- Primary consideration will be given to candidates whose research interests overlap with those of existing faculty.
- Applications are sought from all areas of statistics, biostatistics, probability, and related quantitative disciplines interested in deepening their engagement with statistics.
- Cover letter including a statement of how the applicant’s interests fit the teacher‑scholar model and identifying potential faculty matches.
- Curriculum vitae.
- Teaching statement describing approach to diverse student populations and any teaching experience.
- Research statement describing the current state of the discipline and future agenda.
- Copy of graduate transcript(s).
- Three letters of recommendation (at least two addressing scholarship potential; at least one addressing teaching ability).
