REYNOLDS AMERICAN has an exciting opportunity for a Sr Engineer in Winston Salem, NC

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Demonstrated proficiency in functional processes, technology, and engineering practices.
  • Engage with internal business partners to ensure that technical decisions are based on the broad vision of the organization and achieve optimum results.
  • Develop and ensure appropriate timelines, milestones, cost estimates, and project objectives are achieved
  • Identify, evaluate, specify, and select appropriate technologies, vendors, and construction services consistent with short-term and long-term requirements
  • Assist with negotiations with third party suppliers and equipment manufacturers in the development, evaluation, coordination, and resolution of issues.
  • Ensure project evaluations and implementations are in line with economic, personnel, environmental, product quality, machine performance, and engineering related requirements.
  • Identify and drive innovative solutions to address business/process opportunities and issues.
  • Develops partnership with external vendors, agencies, suppliers, and service providers to drive business success and enhance effectiveness of processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or:
    Licensure as a Professional Engineer, with 2+ years of progressive experience.
  • Engineering and project management experience within a regulated environment.
  • Analytical problem solving, and decision‑making skills
  • Understanding of engineering practices, standards, design principles, and environmental requirements Knowledge of manufacturing and packaging of consumer goods
  • Project management skills with the ability to lead or support the execution of projects Demonstrated ability to lead a cross‑functional team
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently, be pro‑active, and communicate effectively with team members and management Proficiency in computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, etc.) and the ability to quickly learn new computer skills SAP and AutoCAD experience (Desirable)
