Data Centre Facility Manager

5+ Years in Data Centre facility operations with strong Mechanical & Electrical background expertise.

The Data Centre Facility Manager is responsible for ensuring the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of all critical infrastructure systems within the data centre. This includes mechanical and electrical equipment such as HVAC systems, UPS, generators, switch gear, and fire suppression systems. The role demands proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and adherence to compliance standards to guarantee uptime and reliability.

• Operations & Maintenance
  • Plan and coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems including UPS, generators, CRAC/CRAH units, switch gear, and PDUs.
  • Monitor and operate BMS and DCIM tools for alerts and performance optimization.
  • Conduct daily/weekly/monthly physical site inspections, health checks, and maintain operational logs.
  • Respond to alarms and critical alerts within agreed SLA and timelines.
  • Execute emergency procedures and coordinate with vendors for rapid resolution.
• Compliance & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, SOPs, EOPs, and MOPs.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, building codes, and OEM standards.
  • Follow local regulations and best practice standards within the DC.
• Capacity & Lifecycle Management
  • Support capacity planning for power and cooling infrastructure.
  • Assist in lifecycle management of facility assets and participate in audits and risk assessments.
• Technical Support
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes).
  • Coordinate installation, moves, and changes for structured cabling and IT racks.
  • Install PDUs in racks and connect with power distribution as needed.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical distribution, fire suppression, and plumbing.
  • Familiarity with UPS systems, generators, switch gear, and cooling technologies.
  • Hands‑on experience with BMS/DCIM platforms and ITSM tools (e.g., Service Now).
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
• Work permit certificate must be in place to work in the Data Centre and high voltage environment.
• Certifications preferred: HVAC, Electrical Safety, or Data Centre Operations.

• Onsite role with 24x7 availability for emergencies.
• Physical ability to perform inspections and handle equipment safely.

• SLA compliance for incident response.
• Zero downtime due to facility‑related issues.
• Accuracy of documentation and adherence to preventive maintenance schedules.
