The Assistant Manager, Safety leads a team of safety professionals to innovate, design, and enhance safety systems, processes, and equipment, aligning with operational goals and promoting safety excellence.
Responsibilities:Oversee safety themes and complex improvement projects, manage daily team operations, and mentor staff. Utilize safety expertise to proactively reduce hazards through PDCA cycles, interpret safety policies, conduct risk assessments, ergonomic studies, and document safety activities. Develop reports with complex data analysis and trending, and continually enhance technical skills.
Qualifications & Skills:Bachelor’s in Engineering or Safety-related field, 8+ years of safety or manufacturing experience, professional safety certifications (e.g., Certified Safety Professional), strong interpersonal, communication, planning, data analysis, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of safety regulations and injury prevention strategies is essential.
Working Conditions:Open office and manufacturing environments, with possible overtime, rotating shifts, and minimal travel.
