Essent Group Ltd. is a Bermuda‑based holding company dedicated to the mortgage insurance industry. This role supports risk management by performing quality assurance reviews of mortgage loan files.

• Complete quality assurance file reviews for certified loans underwritten under delegated or non‑delegated authority, including re‑underwrites based on published guidelines and credit policy.
• Perform re‑verifications of occupancy, employment/income, and funds for loan closing as required and refer findings to the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) when appropriate.
• Maintain a strong knowledge of agency, USPAP, and Essent guidelines and eligibility requirements.
• Conduct second‑level reviews on loans flagged by third‑party vendors for any level of defect.
• Participate in system testing and enhancement efforts as part of a coordinated corporate initiative.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

• High School Diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field preferred.
• Mortgage insurance experience preferred.
• Seven (7) or more years of experience in the mortgage banking industry, with specific mortgage insurance industry experience desired.
• Practical experience in conventional mortgage underwriting and/or quality assurance required.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Knowledge of all agency underwriting guidelines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong appraisal review skills and knowledge of USPAP requirements.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
• Self‑motivated and detail oriented.
• Excellent organizational, technical, and customer service skills.
• Ability to present difficult findings consultatively while preserving client relationships.
