Financial Center Supervisor

DescriptionAt Allegacy, the commitment to doing right and the promise to members to always do the right thing for their wellbeing guide every employee. This position assists members with loan applications, new memberships, and other AFCU product account openings. It provides customer service throughout the loan request and account opening process, cross‑sell Allegacy products and services, and supports the day‑to‑day business activities in the Financial Center.
Accountabilities- Deliver exceptional member service and consistently exhibit legacy behaviors.
- Meet or exceed established service goals.
- Assist in sales efforts within the financial center.
- Interview applicants to ascertain requests and make appropriate product recommendations.
- Process loan applications, ensuring prompt examination of creditworthiness and timely closing consistent with AFCU policies and procedures.
- Educate and coach employees on offering and selling AFCU products and services.
- Cross‑sell other credit union products based on identified needs; typically 50% of this job’s requirements are cross‑selling.
- Assist in the supervision, motivation, and development of staff.
- Assist other departments to grow membership and increase community awareness of AFCU.
- Incorporate AFCU performance attributes into daily activities and maintain a professional, courteous and helpful attitude toward members.
- Assist the financial center manager with daily activities and audit compliance, security, safety, and maintenance of the assigned financial center.
- Assist in hiring employees, directing work assignments, performance reviews, rewarding, and disciplining employees.
- Demonstrated successful sales performance that supports and promotes a sales and service culture within AFCU.
- Ability to work well with others and demonstrate leadership qualities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to discuss, recommend and open all AFCU programs and services.
- Demonstrated customer service skills, including problem solving for members.
- Ability to conduct business in a professional manner, exercising personal discretion and independent judgment while maintaining compliance with policies, laws, and regulations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in respect to the member’s financial affairs.
- Two or more years of experience in a retail sales banking environment.
- Undergraduate degree in business or related degree preferred.
- Demonstrated familiarity and proficiency with computers required.
- Eligible to be registered as a Mortgage Loan Originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System.
