Research Lab Technician IV, WF Institute Regenerative Medicine

JOB SUMMARY

The WFIRM Research Laboratory Technician IV will participate in a research project to develop a new platform to enable the testing of vaccines. Under a general supervision plan, the applicant will perform a variety of complex tasks including antigen uptake and presentation, immune cell activation and differentiation, in vitro biological and functional tests for verification of tissue construct viability and functional assays.

Under general supervision plan, develop, modify, and implement previously developed and original experimental procedures in a research laboratory exercising independent judgment based upon specialized theoretical knowledge of the applicable science. Research will be performed in a team environment and the application will be provided with a variety of procedures and techniques previously outlined by established protocols and other scientific data related to the production of tissue engineered constructs.

The applicant will provide direction and guidance to other technicians, trainees and personnel in the laboratory. Immunology, engineering, and cell biology experience is a plus.

• University graduation with a major in the biological sciences and four years of related research experience, whichever applicable for position to be filled.
• Master's degree in immunology, biology, or related physical science and two years of laboratory experience.
