Personal Care Assistant; PCA​/Certified Nursing Assistant; CNA

Job Description

Redefined Staffing seeks compassionate and dedicated individuals to provide essential support and assistance to individuals who require help with daily activities due to physical limitations, aging, or illness. This candidate plays a vital role in enhancing clients' quality of life and independence by assisting with personal care, medication reminders, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and companionship. The ideal candidate will have a caring demeanor, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to
providing high-quality care.

Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Provide support with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure client safety and comfort
- Remind clients to take medications as prescribed and assist with medication management
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks according to client preferences and dietary restrictions
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, dishes, and tidying up living spaces
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients through engaging in conversation, activities, and
outings
- Monitor and report changes in client condition or behavior to the supervising healthcare professional
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client care activities
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control practices
- Collaborate with healthcare team members, family members, and other caregivers to ensure coordinated
care for clients

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a state-approved PCA/ CNA training program or relevant caregiving experience
- Certification or licensure as a Personal Care Assistant, if required by state regulations (can train)
- CPR/ BLS and First Aid certification preferred (can train)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with individuals of varying ages and abilities with respect and empathy
- Physical stamina and ability to lift, bend, and assist clients with mobility
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license, if required for client visits
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

- At least one year of experience
- Additional training or certifications in geriatrics, dementia care, or other specialized areas of caregiving
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and understanding of common age-related conditions
