Manufacturing Engineer
Location:
Winston Salem, NCHire Type: 18-month contract w/potential direct hire conversion
Shift: 1st, Mon-Fri, 7/8am - 3:30/4:30pmHourly Rate: $Benefits:

Summary:
Develop and improve assembly manufacturing processes to increase safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity. This role works closely with production and other teams to implement process improvements, support engineering changes, and eliminate waste.
Job Duties:
Develop and improve assembly manufacturing processes, work instructions, routings, and BOMsManage engineering changes and support tooling, fixtures, and processing requirements for production
Develop and maintain PFMEAs, Control Plans, SFMEAs, and other manufacturing documentation
Support PPAP/SPAP activities and quality gate audits
Use time studies, line balancing, value stream mapping, and other industrial engineering tools to improve efficiency and eliminate waste
Drive root cause analysis, continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S initiatives
Support safety investigations and workforce training related to manufacturing processes
Utilize manufacturing systems such as LN and Teamcenter Manufacturing/NX
Qualifications:
4-year technical degree or equivalent manufacturing experience3+ years of manufacturing experience
Experience with assembly manufacturing and process improvement
Knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, and Lean Manufacturing Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel Ability to communicate effectively with production teams and leadership
Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
