Summary

The Marketing & Technical Documentation Co‑op will support the creation, organization, and standardization of customer‑facing product data sheets for key product lines within the packaging portfolio. This role will bridge the gap between marketing, product management, and technical teams to ensure that every data sheet accurately communicates the value, performance, and technical benefits of our packaging products. The co‑op will learn how technical information is translated into clear, market‑ready documents that help customers make informed choices and strengthen brand consistency across global regions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Data Sheet Development – collaborate with product managers, engineers and quality teams to collect technical data (e.g., material specs, barrier properties, dimensions, regulatory notes).
  • Translate technical details into clear, customer‑friendly language emphasizing product value and application benefits.
  • Apply consistent brand templates, design layouts and version control practices.
  • Partner with marketing to align tone, visuals and messaging with broader product positioning.
  • Information Organization & Repository Setup – create a centralized database or folder structure to store product information, technical specs and data sheet versions, develop naming conventions and metadata tagging, and document the process for future updates and approvals.
  • Market & Customer Relevance Alignment – compare existing materials to competitor product literature to identify content gaps or differentiation opportunities, coordinate with regional marketing and sales teams to validate customer needs and preferred formats, and support integration of sustainability messaging, certifications or performance claims aligned with customer priorities.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration – liaise with Product Development, Quality and Regulatory teams to ensure technical accuracy, work closely with Marketing Communications or Creative teams for layout, visual assets and branding alignment, and assist with translations or regional customization when needed for global markets.
Key Outcomes
  • Deliver a complete set of standardized customer data sheets for top product lines in the packaging portfolio, ready for digital and print distribution.
  • Establish a Product Data Sheet Library that serves as a single source of truth for internal and external use.
  • Produce a competitive content matrix highlighting key differentiators and recommendations to enhance product positioning.
  • Deliver a cross‑functional workflow document showing the review and approval process for future data sheet updates.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Packaging Science, Technical Communication, Engineering or Business.
  • Strong organizational and writing skills with the ability to translate technical data into clear, market‑relevant content.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
Adobe InDesign, Illustrator or Canva experience a plus.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong project management and coordination abilities.
  • Curiosity about packaging technologies, materials and sustainability trends.
  • Comfortable working with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment.
Learning & Development Opportunities
  • Learn how marketing and technical teams collaborate to position products in the packaging industry.
  • Gain exposure to portfolio management, product communication and customer engagement, along with senior leadership.
