Associate Director of Development
An EPS non‑faculty major gifts officer position supporting UNCSA’s mission and strategic priorities. The role focuses on cultivating, soliciting and stewarding gifts between $10,000 and $50,000, and aligning donors with UNCSA’s priorities. Salary commensurate with experience; annual salary range $62,000–$70,000.
Key ResponsibilitiesFundraising:
- Contribute to overall fundraising success through $10K–$50K gifts.
- Maintain a portfolio of 60–75 leadership annual and major gift prospects; cultivate relationships.
- Collaborate with campus partners and foundation colleagues to design and implement donor strategies.
- Document all work accurately and consistently following policy.
- Engage in professional development to stay current with best practices.
- Achieve annual goals for fundraising, visits, proposals, and qualifications.
- Develop relationships with assigned deans; maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of assigned areas.
- Communicate high‑priority opportunities to the Advancement team.
- Create engagement and cultivation opportunities and develop new donor leads.
- Support the development of philanthropic priorities that align with UNCSA’s strategic plan and upcoming campaign.
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree and at least three years progressive fundraising experience, with a proven record in soliciting and securing major gifts.
Preferred: Five or more years managing a major gift portfolio in a paid role; experience in a university advancement setting; background in the arts is a plus.
Employment DetailsPosition:
Full‑time, open until filled.
Terms:
E2 16.00, 12‑month appointment.
Work schedule:
8:00 AM‑5:00 PM, Monday‑Friday, with regular evening and weekend event participation and occasional travel.
