Community Event Volunteer

Community Event Volunteer at Pretty In Pink Foundation — a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in North Carolina dedicated to supporting breast cancer patients.

The foundation provides financial assistance for surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and more. Volunteers help expand our community outreach by supporting fundraising events in the Triad area.

• Attend events, fundraisers, and check presentations on behalf of the Foundation
• Solicit donations, participation, and sponsor ships from individuals and local businesses
• Speak to individuals and groups about our mission and work
• Distribute marketing materials to participants
• Acquire donations for auction items or in-kind gifts

• Passion and desire to help breast cancer patients
• Willingness to learn the foundation’s mission, statistics, and talking points
• Effective communication across diverse populations or groups
• Ability to work independently in a professional and timely manner
• Reliability and ability to commit to attending events in advance
• Extroverted personality – interacting with event guests and sponsors

This role is ongoing and requires travel within the Triad area. Time commitment varies based on event schedule; occasional night and weekend availability may be required.
