Expectations We’re Looking For- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS is required within 6 months of hire
- 1–2 years of ICU experience preferred
- As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Using evidence‑based practice, clinical decision making, and compassionate communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
The Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit is a state‑of‑the‑art, 24‑bed facility dedicated to the treatment of patients recovering from complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions. It is a Comprehensive Stroke Center certified and recognized as a top‑10% facility in the country for Neurology & Neurosurgery and Stroke care by U.S. News & World Report. Nursing staff are proficient in operating diverse ICU equipment, including tubes, lines, drains, invasive hemodynamic monitoring devices, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and specialized interventions such as management of EVD, SEPS drains, post‑thrombolytic care, and post‑interventional radiology care.
