Old Vineyard Behavioral Health Services invites qualified individuals to join our team. We are the Piedmont Triad's only private psychiatric hospital dedicated to serving individuals with chemical dependency and behavioral health needs. With 164 inpatient beds serving adolescents to seniors, our comprehensive services include individual assessments, psychiatric evaluation and medication stabilization, daily group therapy, and personalized aftercare planning. We also provide a Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program.

Responsibilities

At Old Vineyard Behavioral Health Services, we are helping to create brighter, healthier futures for our patients and their families. We are the Piedmont Triad's only private psychiatric hospital meeting the chemical dependency illnesses and behavioral healthcare needs of those in our community. Our 164-bed inpatient services for adolescents through senior adulthood offers comprehensive and individual assessments, psychiatric evaluation and medication stabilization, daily group therapy and personalized aftercare planning.

We also offer a Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program to ensure the continuum of care for our patients. Old Vineyard is accredited by The Joint Commission and certified by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. This opportunity is for a full-time (36 hours per week) Registered Nurse (RN). The position offers full benefits and a convenient schedule of two weekdays 7 pm – 7 am plus every other Saturday & Sunday 7 pm – 7 am. This position also qualifies for a $12,000 sign‑on bonus: $1,000 paid after 90 days, $1,500 after 6 months, $2,500 after one year, $3,000 after 18 months, and $4,000 after two years.

Job Duties
  • Nurse/Patient Relationship:
    Develops and maintains a therapeutic relationship throughout the healthcare continuum.
  • Nursing Process:
    Demonstrates the use of nursing process as a problem‑solving model. Demonstrates mastery of clinical skills related to patient’s mental health and physical health needs.
  • Assuring/Improving Quality Care:
    Facilitates the patient and family’s right to receive safe, quality, and cost-effective care. Maintains and protects confidentiality regarding all aspects of patient care and information.
  • Patient/Staff

    Education:

    Demonstrates a commitment to meeting the learning needs of patients and families. Utilizes appropriate resources to meet those needs and achieve positive patient outcomes. Assists in creating an environment that promotes educational growth opportunities for nursing peers and colleagues.
  • Collaboration/Professional Development:
    Demonstrates respect and understanding for peers and other clinical disciplines and participates as an effective member of the patient care team to formulate an integrated approach to care.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited college or university of professional nursing.
  • Current NC State Nursing License (or compact state).
  • Minimum one (1) year experience nursing.
  • AHA CPR & First Aid.
  • Knowledge of appropriate nursing assessment, diagnoses, and interventions with patients. Ability to accurately administer medications and treatments. Ability to monitor and record response and side‑effects to medications and treatments. Ability to safely implement Special Treatment Procedures. Ability to assist with education of patients and families in medication and care management. Ability to develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families. Knowledge of human behavior or principles of psychology including therapeutic relationships & processes, age‑specific growth & development, limit‑setting, crisis & behavior management.
