Park Attendant; Aquatic Center​/Mallard Lake

Overview

Forsyth County's Department of Parks and Recreation is looking for seasonal part‑time Park Attendants. This is a great opportunity to work outdoors at Mallard Lake and the Aquatic Center at Tanglewood Park.

• On the Aquatic Center: operate cash register for pool entry, put wristbands on paying pool patrons, check coolers, keep pool lobby/locker rooms clean, and ensure patrons follow all rules and regulations.
• At Mallard Lake: assist patrons with rental of pedal boats, operate cash register for boat rentals and concessions, monitor patrons on boats, and maintain cleanliness of boats, dock, restrooms, and surrounding area.
• Work shifts at both Mallard Lake and Aquatic Center throughout the operational season.
• Work weekends, holidays and weekdays as required.

• Seasonal position (May through September).
• Ability to inspect and report repair needs.
• Maintain order and enforce compliance with rules.
• Treat the public tactfully and courteously.
• Work effectively with other employees.
• Adhere to a time schedule independently.
• Read and write information relevant to the work.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Minimum age 16 at employment start.
• Prior experience in Parks & Recreation, CPR and First Aid training are a plus.
