Chemist

Job Description

We are looking for a Chemist to support analytical testing for tobacco products. Key responsibilities include routine sample preparation using wet chemistry techniques, operating smoking machines for tobacco product analysis, performing GC/GCMS testing, maintaining high accuracy and precision, documenting results in notebooks and computer systems, interpreting analytical procedures, calibrating instruments, troubleshooting errors, verifying data, and effectively communicating with client staff.

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or related field, or equivalent experience (2 years of related industry experience equals 1 full-time year of college in the major).
• 2‑4 years of experience working with GC.
• Experience in a cGMP and ISO 17025 environment.
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of chromatography; experience with Empower or Chromeleon software is helpful.
• Excellent oral and written communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self‑motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.

• Position is full‑time, Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
