2nd Grade Teacher

Oasis Christian Academy is looking for a qualified individual to teach our 2nd Grade Students. Job responsibilities include demonstrating academic competence in subject areas, developing integrated curriculum, maintaining a growth mindset toward student learning and personal professional development, serving as a role model and innovative learner, collaborating with stakeholders to improve student performance, and investing in learners’ well‑being, health, and safety.

The candidate should recognize the relationship between social‑emotional learning and academic performance and aspire to help develop and teach the whole child.

Knowledge of instructional methods appropriate for 2nd‑grade students, a desire and ability to work with students having diverse backgrounds and ability levels, strong task organization and time management skills, the ability to manage both small and large student groups, and effective communication with students, parents, school administrators, and staff. Demonstrated knowledge of current instructional strategies appropriate for the specified grade level is required.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in education or related field
• Recent teaching experience, coursework, or other activity in the area of primary instruction
• Demonstrated knowledge of current instructional strategies appropriate for students at the specified grade levels
• Provide a statement of faith
• Faithfully attend in‑person church services
