This is a Mobile Unit position
POSITION SUMMARY:The Dental Mobile Team Driver will be responsible for maintenance-oversight and delivery of mobile unit vehicles and equipment to dental outreach events. The Dental Mobile Unit Driver will work closely with the Mobile Dental Team to offer support as well as contribute to the team’s compliance with department programs, required reporting and any other duties, as necessary.
MINIMALQUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Florida Driver’s License or Valid CDL where required
- Experience driving commercial/company vehicles
- Experience troubleshooting vehicle and equipment issues, using manuals and outside resources
- Experience in scheduling vehicle and equipment repairs
- Insurable with CFHC's vehicles Insurance
- Successfully pass pre-employment background check including drug test and MVR check
- Read the English language to the extent necessary to understand directions and instructions
- High school diploma or equivalent
- BLS Certification (preferred)
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ensure Dental Mobile vehicles (vans, cars, mobile clinics) are maintained including but not limited to:
- Collaborating with Facilities to ensure maintenance is scheduled / follow up until completed
- Maintaining vehicles; keep tidy/visibly clean, clutter free, safe
- Housekeeping of mobile clinic; sanitizing interior
- Ensuring appropriate work areas are available for providers and dental staff
- Assisting with mobile clinic supply orders and restocking
- Drive Dental Mobile vehicle to event, set up and break down of unit/ equipment, secure vehicle in designated storage area
- Ensure work orders for equipment are submitted, follow up until completed
- Troubleshoot IT issues, collaborate with IT department to ensure connectivity issues are resolved
- Transport Dental Mobile laptops to events as needed, keep software updated
- Guide patients to and from events whether on premises or in mobile clinic
- Maintain community partnerships, be attentive to their needs and communicate effectively
- Partner with Mobile Dental Team for new client opportunities
- Collaborate with QI, ensure Joint Commission standards are met, facilitate periodic rounds to ensure compliance
- Other duties as assigned
- Requires 80% or more time spent standing/walking
- Independently mobile
- Ability to lift weight equivalent to that which would be required when occasionally assisting and positioning patients, repositioning equipment and lifting supplies
- Ability to adapt and function in varying environments of workload, patient acuity, worksites and work shifts
- Environmentally exposed to a variety of contagious diseases and other patient related conditions
- Color vision
- Standing/walking/sitting for long periods of time
- Independently mobile
- Lifting and/or transporting up to 50lbs
