POSITION SUMMARY:

The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing direct and indirect nursing care to patients and families in the clinic under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and Director of Nursing (DON). The LPN collaborates with the clinical team to deliver safe, high-quality, and efficient primary care to a diverse patient population. Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential.

MINIMAL

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Florida license
  • BLS certification
  • Computer literacy
  • Experience in Community Health preferred
Responsibilities and Performance Expectations:
  • Familiarity with CFHC’s programs, goals, and policies; compliance with all regulations.
  • Perform nursing duties competently.
  • Understand and follow CFHC’s Exposure Control Plan and universal precautions.
  • Participate in outreach and off-site health programs as requested.
  • Report pertinent information impacting patient care or liability to the DON.
  • Attend and participate in mandatory meetings.
  • Work cooperatively with the clinical team; support colleagues.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
  • Screen patients and perform procedures as directed.
  • Accurately record patient histories and charting.
  • Perform waived lab tests and administer injections and vaccines as directed.
  • Perform procedures such as nebulizer treatments and ear lavage.
  • Provide patient counseling per treatment plans.
  • Understand emergency protocols and respond appropriately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and infection control in work areas.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up.
  • Assist with patient referrals and follow-up.
  • Ensure accuracy of clinical logs and electronic medical records.
  • Provide age-appropriate care and perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
  • 80% or more time spent standing/walking.
  • Ability to lift supplies and assist with patient positioning.
  • Adaptability to varying work environments and shifts.
