General Summary
This position utilizes knowledge of a variety of production duties, handling product, visual sorting or inspection, packing or performing other operations that can be learned on-the-job in a short time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs related work and other job assignments as required.
- Must be able to work in Multi-temperature environments.
- Work requires frequent moving on highly repetitive short-cycle production line.
- Frequent exertion of moderate to heavy physical effort.
- Work is typically performed while standing and may include walking some of the time.
- Must understand and follow all of the QA standards set forth by the customer.
- Performs related work and other job assignments as required or requested by Warehouse Supervisor.
- Ability to follow demonstrated directions.
- Incumbents may use pallet jacks to move material in the work area.
- Keeps work area clean and performs housekeeping duties as required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of general warehouse practices, terminology, and documents.
- Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to safely and efficiently operate various types of Material Handling Equipment.
- Flexibility to work any/all shifts.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Ability to effectively use warehouse management system.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb stairs. The position requires standing & walking for extended periods of time .
- Work in cold and extremely cold environments for extended periods (freezer and cold storage facilities).
