Automotive Shop Manager

Central Florida’s leading luxury dealership, Lexus of Orlando, is looking for an experienced automotive service manager to lead a large, fast‑paced shop.

• Monitor shop workflow to ensure technicians are assigned the correct job based on skill level.
• Coordinate work levels to maintain shop efficiency standards.
• Manage the computer work management system, ensuring tasks are completed promptly.
• Create and maintain technician schedules to keep sufficient staffing during peak hours.
• Prepare, review, and maintain reports detailing WIP, technician production and “on-hold” job status.
• Communicate work order status to senior service management to meet customer expectations.
• Ensure OSHA compliance, proper waste disposal, and availability of first aid supplies.
• Maintain timely oil tank and compressor inspections.
• Hire and develop service technicians.

• Previous automotive service department experience as a technician, advisor, or manager.
• Exceptional organization and time‑management skills.
• High energy and positive personality.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks professionally and courteously.
• Ability to work directly with diagnostic specialists, technicians, service advisors, and parts personnel.
• Computer savvy, proficiency with Microsoft Office and the dealership’s DMS system.
