About the Role

The Concierge is the initial point of contact for potential residents, families, vendors and the community – either in person or via phone. The role requires professionalism, politeness, and ensuring all guests enjoy a pleasant first experience with the community.

Essential Job Functions
  • Maintain a professional personal presentation.
  • Welcome visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone; answer or refer inquiries.
  • Answer the phone within 3 rings; determine the nature of the call to relay information or route call appropriately.
  • Takes detailed messages with name, date, time and return phone number.
  • Ensure team members receive their phone messages promptly.
  • Maintain knowledge of who is available to receive an inquiry or host a tour.
  • Maintain security by following procedures, logging visitor sign‑in and sign‑out.
  • Maintain a safe and clean reception, lobby and Welcome Room areas in compliance with procedures.
  • Receive and sort mail for the Leadership Team.
  • Maintain yearly transportation log for resident doctor appointments as needed.
  • Communicate with driver at least 24 hours in advance regarding resident appointment dates and times.
  • Report all accidents and incidents promptly to supervisor.
  • Maintain confidentiality of residents’ personal care information.
  • Honor residents’ personal and property rights.
  • Must be in company uniform and resident ready at all times.
Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Effective communication with all levels of management, team members, residents, family, vendors and referral sources.
  • Independent decision‑making abilities.
  • Warm, friendly and caring communication style.
  • Passion for working with senior citizens.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
Education Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.

Experience Requirements

Two (2) years of Concierge/Front Desk Receptionist experience in a customer service‑oriented industry.

Physical Requirements
  • Sitting 75% of the day.
  • Concentrating with frequent interruptions.
  • Working under stress and in emergency situations.
  • Standing, walking, reaching, pulling, pushing and grasping as required.
  • Talking and hearing effectively to convey messages, instructions and information.
  • Occasionally lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds.
Occupational Exposure / Personal Protective Equipment
  • Work in all areas of the community.
  • Possible exposure to dust, disinfectants, cleaning chemicals, infectious waste and other conditions.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (infection control kit, rubber gloves, non‑slip shoes) and adherence to safety policies.
  • Follow safety policies and procedures.
