This position is responsible for coordinating customer service and warranty activity. The individual must handle multiple activities and people with varying skill sets, focus on customer satisfaction, control warranty expense, and produce accurate reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities- Tread reports (quarterly reports)
- Assist with NHTSA activities when necessary
- Recall letter from OEM chassis manufacture processing
- Creation of letter for importing trucks to Canada indicating no open WC recalls
- Provide feedback on customer issues to warranty committee
- Report on all functional activities and performance for each area
- Assist with generating field service bulletins to inform field reps & dealers of service issues and training
- Work with other areas of the business
- Vendor part warranty administration and exchange, recall notice administration
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
- Pre‑delivery and post‑delivery problem solving and administration
- Warranty and repair administration
- Provide consistent information flow to customers and field reps
- Point of contact with Customer Service Manager or Director of Customer Service is not present
- Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned
- Setting work priorities
- Working independently in the absence of supervision
- Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English
- Excellent organizational and management skills
- Verbal and written communication skills and the ability to perform critical analysis desired
- Must have computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English
- Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to other employees of the organization
- Phone systems, e‑mail, and internet browsing skills required
- Ability to read, write, and perform mathematical computations at a level required for successful job performance
- Proficient in computer use and report generation using Microsoft Office Business Suites and SAP
- Ability to work in a courteous and professional manner with the public and employees
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment
- Ability to perform critical analysis desired
- A.A. Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- 2 years successful sales/customer service experience
- The employee is regularly required to stand or walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects; and reach with hands and arms
- The employee is frequently required to sit, use phone and a computer for extended periods of time
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lb’s
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
