Pediatric Dental Assistant @ Main Street Children's Dentistry & Orthodontics of Winter Park

We are looking for a full‑time Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our team in Winter Park, FL. Our state‑of‑the‑art pediatric practice seeks a confident, caring assistant who loves working with kids and has clinical experience. You will provide support to the dental team, assist with procedures, and help ensure every patient’s visit is 5‑star. Salary commensurate with experience. Candidates must have nitrous Oxide certification.

Hours:

Monday‑Thursday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, every other Friday 8:00 AM–2:00 PM.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
  • Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post‑treatment care.
  • Take and develop X‑rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
  • Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed).
  • Help dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
Qualifications
  • Completion of a one‑year certified dental assistant program.
  • Six months of on‑the‑job experience (with supporting documentation).
  • X‑ray certification.
  • Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Maintenance of annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
