Position OverviewThe Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism in the Department of Internal Medicine is actively recruiting a research faculty with interest and/or expertise in endocrinology related research to join our esteemed faculty. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting‑edge research aimed at understanding and treating endocrinology disorders, leveraging our state‑of‑the‑art facilities and collaborative environment.
Duties and Responsibilities- Conceptualizes, plans, designs, implements, and conducts research studies in endocrinology including endocrinology disorders, diabetes, metabolism, endocrine cancer, reproductive endocrinology, lipids, osteoporosis, and neuroendocrine.
- Develops and writes grant proposals to seek and obtain extramural funding to support the research program; obtains and maintains NIH R01 or equivalent funding.
- Writes and publishes research in high‑quality peer‑reviewed journals; attends and presents research at national and international scientific conferences; develops national and international scholarly reputation.
- Instructs and mentors junior scientists, doctoral and postdoctoral students, medical students, residents and fellow trainees; participates in department, college and university committees and initiatives.
- PhD or MD/PhD in an applicable field.
- Proven ability to write scientific reports and publish in peer‑reviewed journals.
- Current active extramural grant funding (equivalent to NIH R01 or Career Development Award).
- Academic experience is a plus.
- Qualify for an academic appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level.
