Responsibilities
  • General Training & Comprehension – Learn and perform the assignments of the housekeeper, heavy housekeeper/floor tech, and laundry worker positions; operate and teach industrial cleaning equipment.
  • Leadership Development – Assist in training, quality control, and in‑servicing staff per policies, procedures, and federal/state requirements.
  • Policies & Procedures – Provide guidance to meet quality standards, inventory levels, safety guidelines, and customer service expectations.
  • Reporting – Maintain records of income/expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment; deliver reports to HCSG and facility management.
  • Training – Responsible for all training, quality control, and in‑servicing staff to meet HCSG standards; assess work quality using QCIs.
  • Leadership – Handle managerial duties including payroll, staffing, coaching and discipline, purchasing, inventory, and budgeting.
  • Communication – Effectively communicate directives from client managers and administrators to staff.
  • Safety – Use protective gear; manage cleaning solution use; report equipment or product issues; follow infection control and universal precautions.
  • Punctuality – Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality; meet schedules and respond to paging system timely.
  • Customer Experience – Represent HCSG by following instructions, being courteous, and cooperating with supervisors, coworkers, and client staff.
  • Resident Experience – Positive interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.
Qualifications
  • Positive attitude; follows oral and written instructions; performs routine, repetitive tasks.
  • After training, uses leadership skills to accomplish responsibilities without supervision.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Basic computer skills for maintaining records and web‑based reporting.
  • Reliability – must be able to be at work as scheduled and on time.
  • Compliance with COVID‑19 vaccination policies.
  • Physical ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
  • Work around food and cleaning products.
  • Residence in the service area (required).
