Job Title:Welder
A day in the life of a Welder at REV includes:
- Reading blueprints and performing shop math to layout, fabricate, and weld various parts and assemblies.
- Performing all manner of welding procedures as prescribed in AWS and ASME publications for MIG and STICK welding (SMAW) on multiple types of metals.
- Using grinder, sander, rivet guns, saws, and other air tools, as well as reading English and imperial (standard) tape measures.
- Inspecting welds for cracks, burn through, and weld spatter, lack of fusion, craters.
- Understanding and carrying out verbal and written directions in English.
- Maintaining a safe work environment while also performing maintenance on welding equipment when necessary.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Two years of experience in welding using Mig or Tig welding machines.
- Must pass and maintain in-house AWS Welder Certification.
- Must have general knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards.

- Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and climbing in and out of buses.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 lbs. without assistance.
- Ability to work with arms above head.
- Ability to work from ladders or scaffolding.
- Must not be allergic to smoke, grinding, and fiberglass dust.
- Ability to work in 105-degree heat for excess of ten (10) hours per day.
Overtime may be required based on business needs. This position may require mandatory overtime up to three (3) out of four (4) Fridays per month.
