Overview
Research Faculty – IM Medical Oncology (Open Rank/Track Faculty). The OSUCCC‑James Pelotonia Institute for Immuno‑Oncology (PIIO) seeks innovative immune monitoring experts for research‑track faculty positions within the Division of Medical Oncology, Department of Internal Medicine.

Responsibilities- Co‑investigator on sponsored research grants and co‑author original research publications.
- Conceptualize, plan, design, implement and conduct research studies in the PIIO’s Immune Monitoring and Discovery Platform (IMDP) in areas:
Cellular Immuno‑Oncology (Flow Cytometry);
Tissue Immuno‑Oncology (Multispectral Imaging);
Molecular Immuno‑Oncology (Immunogenomics). - Develop and write grant proposals to seek and obtain funding to support research program.
- Write and publish research in high‑quality peer‑reviewed scientific journals; attend and make presentations at national and international scientific conferences.
- Develop national and international scholarly reputation; instruct and mentor junior scientists, doctoral and postdoctoral students, medical students, residents and fellow trainees.
- Participate in division, department, college and university committees and initiatives.
- Advanced degree MD, DVM, Pharm
D, PhD, or MD/PhD. - Postdoctoral fellowship in immunology, immuno‑oncology, hematology, cancer genomics and/or pathobiology required.
- Extensive experience leading or working with shared resource laboratories from one of these Technology Hubs strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to write scientific reports and publish in peer‑reviewed journals; understanding of key components of grant writing and obtaining funding required.
- Experience with administration of funded research required.
- Successful completion of background check; pre‑employment physical and drug screen may be required.
