Responsibilities

The Assistant Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and for ensuring the restaurant meets McDonald’s critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. The Assistant Manager works with the General Manager to set goals and creates a plan to achieve them.

To meet restaurant goals, the Assistant Manager leads a team of Department Managers, helping them set goals, tracking progress, and providing coaching and direction to improve their departments. By improving the departments, the restaurant improves.

The Assistant Manager may also be responsible for hiring and developing Department and Shift Managers to ensure the restaurant has the right team to lead into the future.

Ideal candidates should have previous Assistant Manager experience running high‑volume locations. A background in quick‑service restaurants is strongly desired, or experience in hospitality or retail. You must be 18 years or older to be a manager in our franchise restaurants.
