POSITION TITLE:

Clubhouse Food Runner JOB SUMMARY

Serves food and beverages according to established rules of etiquette and performs any and all other duties necessary to assure a memorable dining experience for all members and guests.

WORK PERFORMED

Checks daily function sheets for any special set‑ups for member or private parties.

Reports to and receives any special instruction for the day's activities from the supervisor.

Tastes and memorizes special menu items and descriptions for each meal period.

Performs all side‑work duties required for set‑up for each meal period.

Takes beverage and food orders, if necessary.

Responsible for alerting supervisor to potential problems with over consumption of alcohol or underage drinking.

Addresses members with friendly and courteous attitudes at all times and uses suggestive selling techniques when taking food and beverage orders.

Serves food in proper sequence of course.

Clears tables and resets.

Takes phone to‑go orders according to ICC standards.

Organizes and maintains cleanliness of workstation.

Develops a thorough understanding of all food and wine menus.

Ensures that food plates meet specific requirements, per tickets.

Ensures that all food items are presentable and fit for consumption before delivery to diners.

Maintains a clean and presentable appearance.

Responsible for reading, understanding, and adhering to the Club Bylaws and Rules, as necessary.

Advises supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur. Reports any rule infraction to supervisor.

Performs all side‑work at the end of the shift.

If necessary, completes server report at end of shift.

Performs all other duties assigned by supervisor.

Reports to supervisor before leaving premises.

REQUIREMENTS

PHYSICAL / MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

May be required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

May be required to work in the heat and sun for periods of time.

Requires occasional bending, reaching, stretching.

Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

May be required to climb step stools of a height of 3 feet.

Must carry and balance loaded tray.

Must be capable of working under pressure.

Must be capable of working in a fast paced, team environment.
