Overview

GM and Food (General Merchandise, Closing, Fulfillment, Inbound, Food and Beverage, Food Service, Starbucks) s role involves supporting store processes, ensuring product availability, accurate pricing, and a guest-friendly experience across GM areas of the store.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to solve their needs and thank them for shopping at Target.
• Receive products, restock shelves, organize the backroom, set merchandise, and post promotional signs for GM areas.
• Operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures when certified.
• Execute price changes, merchandise setup and maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed.
• Learn how operational procedures affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability.
• Be knowledgeable about store resources and products to resolve guest issues and improve their experience.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes (e.g., picking/packing orders, delivering pickup orders) while complying with all applicable laws.
• Other duties as needed by the business.

• Remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks within time frames.

Requirements & Physical Capabilities

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Ability to climb ladders and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 44 pounds without assistance.
• Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) with reliable and prompt attendance.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments, including Drive-Up or carryout scenarios.
• Remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
