About This RoleAs a Service Electrician, you will troubleshoot, install, and repair residential electrical systems while ensuring compliance with safety standards and codes. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs or replacements, and communicate solutions clearly to homeowners.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical systems, identifying issues and executing repairs.
- Install, repair, and maintain wiring, outlets, switches, and circuit breakers.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain electrical problems and recommend repair or replacement options.
- Handle physical demands such as pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, and lifting heavy objects safely.
- Perform basic wiring tasks, including installing disconnects, branch circuits, breakers, and other electrical accessories.
- Use proper tools, equipment, and materials; maintain them correctly.
- Apply knowledge of electrical codes and regulations to ensure all work complies with local, state, and national standards.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
- Positive attitude and commitment to high‑quality work.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to engage at all organizational levels.
- Adaptability, flexibility, and creativity as a collaborative team player.
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills to resolve electrical issues.
- Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience.
- Over 2 years of electrical experience, preferably residential.
- Physical ability to lift 50 lb. regularly and up to 100 lb. occasionally.
- Lifting 50 lb. regularly and up to 100 lb. occasionally.
- Climbing ladders, accessing attics, navigating tight spaces, and operating hand tools.
- Driving capability.
- Working in indoor, outdoor, attic, and crawlspace environments.
- Standing, walking, sitting, talking, and hearing—both in person and by phone.
- Using hands to handle, feel, or manipulate objects and controls; reaching with hands and arms.
- Regularly stooping, kneeling, bending, and crouching.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures and adverse weather conditions.
